    Partial Scholarships

    A very small number of partial scholarships are available on a need basis (please see below for what the scholarship entitles you to). Please note that the scholarship process is competitive. Only individuals who meet all the following criteria are eligible to apply for a scholarship.
    • Working in national/local organisations in the global South;
    • Working and residing in the global South; and
    • Working on sexual rights, LGBTIQ, sex workers' rights, and rights of people with disabilities, and gender and technology
    NOT ELIGIBLE for scholarship: Students; individuals not affiliated with organisations; individuals working with international organisations; those living in the Netherlands.

    The partial scholarship includes only:
    Waiver on tuition fees
    Waiver on registration fee
    Hotel Accommodation (on a twin-sharing basis, with breakfast) x 8 nights, check-in 14 May and check-out 22 May

    We make every effort to increase the number of scholarships, and to meet fund-related requests in exceptional cases, but we are only able to have more clarity on this closer to the Institute date.

    Accommodation (answer only if applying for scholarship)

    Non-scholarship participants will have to pay a reduced fee for acommodation. They can choose if their accommodation is single-occupancy or shared (single-occupancy rates are higher). Scholarship participants will be given accommodation on a twin-sharing basis. We will do our best to ensure reasonable accommodation of needs of individuals with disabilities.

    Funding Opportunites

    We encourage participants to approach donors to sponsor their participation. Possible sources for funding include the organisation you work for; your organisation's donors (some funders will consider travel grants to current grantees); and donors who fund the emerging area of gender, technology and rights. We suggest that you begin researching options immediately upon submitting your application to us.
